Last April, Pratidhwani hosted one of its biggest performances of the year, celebrating its passion for dance and the history of India. Not only had the dancers been rehearsing for weeks, they’d also spent countless hours sifting through dozens of Pinterest boards & YouTube videos researching the perfect hair and makeup for their number.

We brought in our best for the show — the lovely Arianna. She’s a professional makeup artist specializing in Indian makeup and bridal events in the Seattle area. A totally talented artist, her fans rave about her and her work on Yelp.

Cultivating an eternal love of color, Indian festivals call for vibrant color and in copious amounts — orange, pink, red, blue, green…use ‘em all! Arianna brought with her a suite of professional grade makeup product and several beautiful color palettes for eyeshadow & shimmer.

A home run, the makeup product turned many an eye both backstage and on. Arianna effortlessly obliged a few extra eyes to give them the perfect shine for their performance.

Alongside the Makeup Artist was Pratidhwani organizer, Megha Jain. Megha, a makeup & style fanatic, pulled off some incredibly inspired looks including the one below, painting a mermaid-esque face for Act 10 — Spring of Love.
